We have an exciting opportunity for a Bespoke Product Manager to join our team. This role is based in Solihull, with hybrid working.
Key responsibilities
1. Working closely with Sales / Bid Management, interpreting & understanding customer needs and creating innovative deal structures that can meet those needs.
2. Providing expertise & impact assessment on bespoke new business / renewal tenders, ensuring what we commit to for customers can be operationally handled, is commercially acceptable and would be legally robust.
3. Providing key support to Sales & Bid Management where required in customer meetings / negotiations in order to reach agreement on bespoke solutions that are amicable to both parties.
4. Project manage the creation, delivery & development of bespoke deals. This may include bespoke new product structures / features, amends to existing product structures / operational processes and/or amends to standard supply and product related terms & conditions.
5. Track bespoke requests and, working collaboratively with Product Management, determine when certain structures & solutions should be standardised into our core product suite.
6. Support internal stakeholders in understanding standard options before progressing to a bespoke deal structure.
What we need from you
1. Proven industry experience, ideally in a risk management, commercial, product and / or deal structuring capacity, or where there has been significant exposure to products, contracts and their general workings.
2. A good understanding of power and gas markets, in addition to the evolving energy solutions market (including energy management and demand management), as well as generation services and metering.
3. Demonstrable experience of working with legal functions on drafting, reviewing terms & conditions and managing contractual risks.
4. Strong stakeholder manager at all levels, with the ability to influence, negotiate and manage expectations across numerous areas.
5. Results orientated and will be comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
6. Experience in converting external needs, regulatory changes and competitor changes into clearly defined actions.
It would be great if you had
1. Demonstrable experience in creatively identifying solutions to customer needs and bespoke customer requirements.
2. Experience in converting complex risks, issues & product structures into easily understandable, concise offerings.
