Work Schedule: Standard (Mon-Fri)
Environmental Conditions: Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cold Room/Freezers -22 degrees F/-6 degrees C, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), Will work with hazardous/toxic materials.
Position Summary: This role is based at our Protein Diagnostics Division in Birmingham, UK. As a Manufacturing Technician II within Operations, you will join a passionate Manufacturing team dedicated to ensuring the performance of world-leading diagnostic products drive global progress. Your contributions will be instrumental in upholding our reputation for impeccable performance and groundbreaking ideas.
Responsibilities:
1. Independently manage own workload against a published plan.
2. Manage Inventory to ensure materials are available and transacted to complete assigned work.
3. Own and perform scheduled activities for designated equipment, area, or function.
4. Carry out data and process-checking activities.

2. Use knowledge and skills to carry out troubleshooting and suggest mitigation measures.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a minimum 1 year relevant experience or a relevant degree.
Experience:
1. Essential: Previous experience in a laboratory environment.
2. Preferred: Experience in workload management and planning is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
1. Able to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Computer knowledge and use of applications such as MS Excel.
3. Practical knowledge of units of measurement and basic mathematical skills.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
1. Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understand chemical hygiene.
2. Able to handle solutions and chemicals.
3. Essentials functions may require lifting objects up to 20 Kilograms.
4. Willing to work overtime at short notice, including weekends to support department as needed.
