The Opportunity
FP&A team drives the divisional forecast, bottom-up annual budgeting and strategic planning processes as well as delivering operating plan variance / gap analysis and assisting on ad-hoc / special projects.
We exist to help the company make intelligent, data-driven decisions through financial analysis; tracking, interpreting and disseminating key performance indicators; and by serving as a critical thought partner to senior leadership.
Main opportunities are: (1) To continue to provide sound financial planning, thoughtful analysis and data-driven insight, that supports strategic decision-making and tells the financial story of the EU Division. (2) To support FP&A Transformation program, likely to include integrated data management, progressive and actionable insights, supportive systems architecture and collaborative enterprise mindset.
Role Responsibility
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
1. Prepare and synthesize the groundwork for monthly financial and business performance results reporting to senior management;
2. Provide accurate, timely, and actionable periodically and ad-hoc financial information and key business metrics and dig into results to find insightful trends or anomalies package (reconciling and interpreting complex financial data);
3. Communicate findings in a timely matter within the FP&A team and other stakeholders;
4. System controls: Responsibilities include stabilizing data integrity and feed (e.g. new Oracle Hyperion Cloud, HFM and Targit BI);
5. Support FP&A Manager in leading the DVP EU annual planning, re-forecasting and long-term strategic planning models;
6. Take an active role in developing efficiency and streamlining of reporting and business analytics as part of Continued FP&A Optimization (ao.): Streamlining FP&A Efforts with Oracle Cloud EPM: Improve Group Reporting and planning cycles, ensuring seamless integration and improved accessibility of data + reduced production time, on-time output delivery to stated deadlines (month-end, reforecasts, budget, 5YSP) Optimally leverage data and technology enabling seamless data flow and analysis (simplicity); Reducing FP&A Cycles; Plan and Analyse data faster along with increased flexibility in the Financial Planning process; Providing better decision support to the business; Enhance Reporting with progressive Insights along with forward-looking scenario modelling that helps business leaders make faster, better-informed and more incisive responses to internal and external changes impacting the business; Improving Productivity; reduce low-value and time consuming tasks, such as manually collating data in spreadsheets, to do more value added work (leveraging advanced analytics); More efficient and agile planning, build resilience (leveraging S&OP/Demand Forecast) Connect planning processes and optimize collaboration beyond Finance;
7. Critical interaction: Liaise with HQ and Dechra Europe Finance on ad hoc reporting requests and system requirements;
8. Lead Ad-hoc reporting/research and identify best practices;
9. Influence others, insist on the highest standards, and challenge the status quo.
