Due to the company continuing to win work, there is a need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Director within the infrastructure sector of the company.
You will be responsible for managing costs to maximize profit for the company on the projects you will be working on and ensuring timely delivery of payment while developing client relationships. You will manage multiple sub-contractors on various packages and deal with the main contractor daily. The projects will average around £5M/£6M and include groundworks, kerbing, concrete works, drainage packages, and piling. You will work with fibre reinforced concrete, overbridges, and structures on an HS2 project.
One of the key projects will be HS2, Old Oak Common, which is prestigious. There are 26 months left on this project, but the company believes they will win several more phases as it continues.
Requirements
It is essential that you have experience working for a tier 2 civil engineering contractor, with strong stability on your CV. You must be capable of managing a full cycle of a project from pre-construction through to completion, with limited support. A degree in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management is also essential, along with experience with NEC contracts.
Rewards and Benefits
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking for progression and development. The Commercial Director progressed from a trainee Quantity Surveyor and aims to support other team members on a similar path. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging between £75,000 – £87,000 + package. Additionally, my client is a well-established and respected specialist sub-contractor, meaning you’ll be joining a financially stable contractor that can offer you long-term stability.
