About the Role
We seek an experienced Product Specialist to join our team, focusing on medical-grade infection control products for healthcare and other professional industries.
This role oversees the entire product lifecycle, ensuring products meet industry standards, address customer needs, and drive company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Enablement:
o Provide sales teams with tools, training, and resources to sell products.
o Participate in webinars to promote & deliver education about our products.
o Assist internal teams and distributors with product related questions.
o Develop sales collateral, presentations, and competitive battle cards to support sales efforts.
o Conduct regular training sessions to keep sales teams informed about product features, benefits, and updates.
* Product Lifecycle Management:
o Manage product updates, including artwork and packaging.
o Plan for product discontinuation with minimal disruption to supply chains and customers.
o Work on product development for new and existing products, overseeing design, testing, and validation in alignment with relevant requirements and standards.
o Develop and manage the product roadmap, setting timelines and milestones for each stage of the product lifecycle.
o Streamline and rationalise the product portfolio based on performance, compliance, and strategic priorities.
* Resource and Digital Asset Management:
o Regularly update and manage digital assets to align with product features & benefits.
o Generate and participate in ideas for creating digital content.
* Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure product efficacy, quality, and compliance with relevant standards.
o Work with regulatory affairs to navigate and document compliance, certification, and reporting.
o Partner with sales and marketing teams to support effective go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and training materials.
* Product Launch and Performance Analysis:
o Develop launch plans, including pricing, distribution, and promotional strategies, to ensure successful market introduction.
o Analyse product performance, including sales, customer satisfaction, and product quality metrics, and use data to drive continuous improvements.
o Provide product training and technical support to sales teams and distributor networks.
* Performance Analysis and Reporting:
o Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns and product launches using metrics such as ROI.
o Provide regular reports and insights to senior management and stakeholders to inform decision-making.
o Identify areas for improvement and optimisation in marketing strategies and product offerings.
* Market and Customer Insights:
o Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
o Gather feedback from customers, healthcare professionals, and other end-users to inform NPD and R&D and ensure alignment with their needs.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
* 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the medical device, healthcare, or professional goods industry.
