Senior Director, Strategy & Transformation Job ID 207916 Posted 28-Feb-2025 Service line Corporate Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Purchasing/Procurement Location(s) London - England - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Senior Director, Procurement Strategy and Transformation Location: London, UK About the Role: As a CBRE Senior Director, Procurement Strategy and Transformation, you will be responsible for the following topics - Procurement Strategy & future ways of working (AI & Future Tools) - Global Procurement Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct - Procurement Continuous Improvement - Business Partner for our UK based LOB leaders - Supplier Management Cross LOB Tower You will work closely with other procurement leaders on key projects, looking forward at potential solutions and continuous improvement to support the business. You will collaborate with procurement and business stakeholders, lead a team of procurement professionals, and drive process improvements to achieve improvements in ways of working and operational efficiencies. What You'll Do: - Provide formal supervision to employees. Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. - Apply deep knowledge of multiple disciplines, broad industry knowledge, and commercial awareness. Drive financial and functional performance within disciplines and across business. - Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Negotiate with senior management, customers, and external parties of divergent interests to reach an agreement of strategic importance while being guided by the business segment and the organization's functional strategy. - Procurement Strategy and & Future Ways of Working: Work with our tools / analytics leader and team, the Line of Business stakeholders and senior leaders to help scout out new technologies and ensure CBRE has the most applicable technologies lined up to operationalize our strategies. This could include supporting the team on major projects. - Act as the primary point of contact and leader of keeping the Global Procurement Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct up to date and relevant as the SVP, Global Head of Procurements delegate. Ensure good communication and feedback occurs around any changes and that new issues in the marketplace are addressed in the policy. - Procurement Continuous Improvement: Work with groups who need continuous improvement efforts to help correct performance issues, identify efficiency opportunities and collaborate in the development of industry leading procurement solutions - Business Partner: Work with target audience to make sure they are informed on key activities, updated on enterprise issues and that the central procurement is understanding and addressing Line of Business Procurement team needs. This would involve working with all leadership team members to ensure we are delivering on our goals. - Supplier Management Cross LOB Tower: Each Line of Business is responsible for its vendor relationships, so these responsibilities would help us gather cross LOB information to use in supplier management with as little overhead as possible to improve our insights into supplier performance. - Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and changes including pricing, demand and category performance to make informed procurement decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business priorities and procurement needs, then translate into actionable sourcing plans in alignment with category strategies. - Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. - Conceptualize new methods, techniques, processes, and standards across job disciplines or functions. - Direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems by applying advanced critical thinking. What You'll Need: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred. - Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect procurement categories, knowledge of best-in-class procurement technologies and experience in a multinational company. - Strategic mindset and an ability to develop and implement long-term category strategies. - Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. - Relationship management skills and ability to lead through influence, building collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers. - Strong analytical and negotiation skills. - Ability to exchange sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. - Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department. - In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Procurement tools, such as Zycus, Coupa, Ariba, or other similar platforms. - Expert organizational skills with an unrivaled inquisitive mindset.
