Our well known client based in Thorpe, Surrey is looking for a HR Coordinator for a 6 month FTC
Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with the HR team:
● Liaise with and advise all candidates, agencies and internal stakeholders on the safer recruitment process;
● Process applications, liaise with applicants, coordinate documents for the shortlisting panel;
● Assist with the issuance of safer recruitment documentation in line with regulatory requirements; ● Track the status of all regulatory onboarding checks, updating and guiding new hires in the timely completion of these;
● Proactively respond to day-to-day HR issues and queries;
● Obtain written reference requests and follow through on verbal telephone verifications;
● Review and advise on all safer recruitment forms completed by prospective employees including UK and overseas Summer Programme staff to ensure compliance
● Ensure that HR data management is GDPR compliant and assist with responses to data subject access requests
Recruitment, Selection, On-Boarding and Retention
Supporting a wide range of generalist activities, and working with the HR team, you will:
● Assist with recruitment and on-boarding activities;
● Support Line Managers with interview set up, creation of interview questions and skills exercises/observed lessons;
● Regularly updating the Director of HR on the status of safer recruitment checks and alerting them to any potential barriers or challenges to the timely completion of these
● Liaising with prospective new employees, ensure that all safer recruitment checks including right to work, overseas police checks, enhanced DBS checks, references and teaching/qualification checks are obtained prior to passing the fi le to the HR Director for sign-off
● Securely maintain all HR records (HRIS and physical fi les).
Training
● Assist with an induction schedule for new hires;
● Working with the HR team ensure that essential online safeguarding training is coordinated and that all safeguarding training and development is formally logged and recorded on our HRIS and kept fully up to date and inspection ready; and
● Assist with the maintenance of training records.
