Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well-established organisation within the Commercial Vehicle (HGV) industry with their search for a AFTERMARKET / DEPOT MANAGER (HGV/COMMERCIAL VEHICLE) to join their fantastic team in Devizes.
THE ROLE:
1. Day to day management of the Aftersales departments between the company’s depots.
2. Improve and optimize on standards / performance of the parts and service teams through effective performance management and development.
3. Cultivate successful business culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business for both workshop and parts.
4. Optimize and improve customer service standards and ensure the departments run in accordance with company standards and key performance indicators.
5. Operating to achieve a very high KPI standard including MOT Pass Rate / Breakdown results whilst maintaining the company’s standard at all times.
6. Increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability of the depots.
7. Regularly review resources in order to meet all servicing requirements to ensure that key performance indicators are consistently met – reviewing labour efficiency, labour sales, cost of sales, debtors.
8. Carry out internal audits to ensure depots are fully compliant in terms of both ISO and Health & Safety.
9. Reporting directly to directors and keeping all parties updated with constant communication.
10. Maximize commercial opportunities through developing and implementing campaigns within specific market sectors.
11. Advise on the need for investment if and when required within the depots.
12. Arrange and attend regular depot meetings to allow for a clear communication channel as well as building great team relationships.
THE CANDIDATE
1. Experience in leading, managing and developing teams.
2. Experience within the Commercial Vehicle sector is essential.
3. Excellent communication skills at all levels.
4. Good organisational skills.
5. An approachable personality.
6. Ability to focus efforts and prioritise work.
7. Attention to detail.
8. Client facing experience being able to manage client expectations.
9. Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
