We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our KierBam JV project at Hinkley Point C based in Bridgewater, Somerset. KierBAM is a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall.
Location: Site Based, Bridgewater, Somerset
Hours: Permanent 45 hours per week
Responsibilities
The role of the Section Engineer is to manage the technical compliance of the project to the design specification in order to fulfil the assigned project (or section), on time and to the required quality.
Your day to day will include:
1. Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
2. Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and ensuring that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly.
3. Ensures workforce understand setting out information has been identified as suitable for the type of work being carried out.
4. Manage the preparation of sketches for distribution on site, ensuring clear communication channels are in place for effective understanding.
5. Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work.
