WHAT TO EXPECT The primary purpose of a Bespoke Paint Technician is to prepare, hand paint and polish bodies and plastics to the highest possible standards both dynamically & aesthetically for bespoke one-off vehicles on a shift rota. The successful applicant will have skills in both panel beating and painting and will join a highly skilled team responsible for preparing, painting and polishing vehicles to a world class standard, supporting high profile vehicles up to and including one of one Bespoke VIP vehicles Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities • Full cleaning and preparation of panels including masking prior to paint application • Paint mixing and application to the highest of standards including Gloss, Satin & Matte finishes • Polishing of bodies and plastics to Mirror Finish and WCPA standards • Painting Non-Commissioned 1 of 1 bespoke vehicles • Working on non-standard production vehicles • Full adherence to Health & Safety and 5S standards while undertaking paint shop tasks WHAT YOU NEED • City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Automotive/Engineering discipline such as Accident Repair, Body and/or Paint competencies with relevant experience • Experience of body and plastic preparation, paint and polish • Problem solving experience in technical paint application and understanding repair processes • An effective team player who’s willing to learn and support other team members • Experience in painting and preparing vehicles to show car standards A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards electric autonomous vehicles.
