If this is you or someone you know, it would be great to hear from you About the role We are looking for a Buyer to be a key member of the Procurement team supporting the Procurement Manager in their activities and have responsibilities for their own planning and procurement of a range of Finished Goods, Components and/or Raw Materials within assigned portfolio of suppliers. Through effective supplier management including regular site visits and continuous improvement you ensure the supply chain is capable of meeting or exceeding business expectations. The successful applicant will be minimum qualified to CIPS level 4 or has a desire to achieve, with preferably experience working in a manufacturing environment. About you To be successful in this role you ideally have (but not essential): Ideally qualified to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent by experience. Qualified to minimum CIPS level 4 or desire to achieve a minimum CIPS level 4. Minimum 2-year experience within Procurement & Supply. Experience working in a manufacturing business preferred. Familiar with general administration of Purchase Orders and associated documents. Some experience in use of business management systems, ideally MRP/ERP. Basic negotiation techniques. A desire and pro-active approach to developing knowledge and skills associated with Sustainable Procurement. Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships internally and externally. Excellent communication skills both written & verbal either face to face or via telephone. Analytical and administrative skills. Computer literate e.g. Microsoft Office to intermediate level. Attention to detail. Ability to work cross functionally. UK Driver s License and willingness to travel on occasions both internationally and in the UK.
