Front Office Manager - AC Hotel by Marriott Inverness
We are currently looking for a Front Office Manager on a full-time basis.
As FOM, you will manage reception operations to ensure consistently-delivered exceptional customer service to guests.
Duties
1. Support Team Members in handling guest requests and enquiries to ensure a positive outcome
2. Ensure a consistent, high level of customer service and respond to guest complaints and disturbances
3. Supervise accurate and efficient reception operations including check in/out procedures
4. Drive sales revenues and promote hotel services and facilities for up-selling opportunities
5. Understand and apply correct finance and hotel credit policy procedures
6. Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Front Office Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
7. Ensure Team Members have updated knowledge of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area and other general Marriott product knowledge necessary to perform their duties
8. Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards
9. Act in accordance with the front of house equipment and the property management systems (OPERA)
10. Conduct training programs on an ongoing basis
11. Carry out shift handovers and brief team members as required
12. Follow AC Hotels by Marriott brand standards
13. Assist other departments and maintain good working relationships with hotel Team Members
14. Act with responsibility in emergency situations
15. Able to perform the Night Audit and ensure all reports are prepared for next day operations
16. Make book-outs if necessary
17. Perform security checks of interior and exterior of the premises
18. Together with the team enroll new members for Marriott Bonvoy (loyalty program)
Qualifications
1. Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
2. Previous experience in a hotel industry
3. Positive attitude and good communication skills
4. Resident in/close to Inverness (or acceptable travel distance)
5. Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
6. Excellent grooming standards
7. Ability to work on your own or as part of a team
8. Competent level of system knowledge
9. Fluent in English, an additional foreign language is preferred
10. Able to work morning, evening, and night shifts
