This is an exciting opportunity to work within Dorset Leg Ulcer Service on a permanent contract with the dedicated Leg Ulcer Service.
We have a vacancy for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to work 15.5 hours per week within the leg ulcer clinics within Bournemouth and Poole localities.
The post holder will have experience in managing leg ulcers and be committed to improving patients quality of life. There will be a health care support worker supporting the registered nurse in clinic.
Support and training will be given to successful applicant.
There would also be ample opportunities to work extra hours on a bank contract to cover annual leave and sickness within team.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Working with key individuals, the post holder will be responsible for:
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the ongoing development of the nurse led complex leg ulcer management service
Provide evidence based professional advice on all aspects of Leg Ulcer Management to patients and their carers
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing care and deliver in line with National guidelines.
Deliver leg ulcer care within DHUFT, in accordance with RCN guidelines.
