Caseworker
Salary: £26,460 per annum + Benefits - Successful candidates are subject to our Development Progression Scale, as well as annual salary reviews
Based at HMP Brinsford - Some travel required on occasion
What you will be doing:
1. Enrolling participants via means of liaison with prison OMU and other key stakeholders
2. Improving participants job-readiness and ability to successfully apply for work on release
3. Developing trust-based, positive relationships to provide an appropriate level of ongoing support for a caseload of participants
4. Signposting individuals to relevant activities, partner agencies & Peer Mentors
To be successful you will require:
1. Experience of working with vulnerable/challenging people; utilizing strong interpersonal skills supporting individuals with ever-changing complex needs.
2. Evidence of Case Management (i.e dealing with multiple people, having difficult conversations, providing tailored solutions relating to people with 'lived experience). Successful candidates must be non-judgmental, open-minded and honest when dealing with service-users.
3. The ability to deliver short and tailored interventions to address barriers within a given timeframe (achieving deadlines and diary & time management experience is highly preferred).
