We are looking for a Business Development Manager (Network Transport), this is a remote role with regular UK travel across sites.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Delivery:
1. Support the company sales strategy to achieve revenue targets within Network Transport, focusing on targeting new customers in all market verticals with a particular focus on consumer electronics and white goods.
2. Manage key stages of the sales cycle from initial customer contact through to RFQ project management and support in contract negotiations.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution design, operations and finance to design and deliver customised logistics solutions that meet clients’ specific needs.
4. Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities.
2. Sales Pipeline Management & Sustainability:
1. Proactively seek new leads and attend industry events.
2. Monitor sales activity to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
3. Prepare and present sales reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
4. Effective utilisation of CRM for efficient management of customer relationships.
5. Support the development and deployment of more sustainable sales solutions.
About you:
• In-depth knowledge of transport operations, including both dedicated and networked transport models.
• Proven track record of success in sales roles within the transport industry.
• Proven ability of delivering sales targets.
• Proven case studies of managing customer RFQ projects.
• Self-motivation and drive for success.
• Proven ability to lead a cross-functional team to deliver transport solutions that meet customer needs.
• Ability to influence at different levels of the organisation.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive and results-oriented.
• Excellent presentation skills, able to make powerful arguments and persuade both visually, in documents, and verbally.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Driving licence and ability to travel.
