With continuous in-service training, perform several different methods of administration of a variety of radioactive and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals, whilst working to strict protocols under safe practice. Provide routine advice to patients undergoing administration of radioactive materials as well as to staff or relatives providing care to such patients, to ensure the risks of exposure to ionising radiation are understood by the concerned parties. With continuous in-service training, participate in non-physician led stressing for myocardial perfusion imaging. With continuous in-service training, ensure paediatric safety. Assist higher-grade nursing staff with the introduction of new procedures and techniques into routine service. Respond to complaints and assist in their resolution within the Trusts complaints handling framework.
