Role: Special Educational Needs Support Worker
Location: South Brent
Contract: Full time, permanent
Salary: £110 - £140 per day (term time only)

We’re working with a highly respected local charity that delivers outstanding care and education to children and young adults facing significant life challenges. They are now seeking a SEN Support Worker to join their close-knit, multidisciplinary team.
This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for someone with a background in education, youth work, care or therapeutic settings. You’ll be working with individuals aged 15 - 25, supporting their emotional wellbeing, educational development and life skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Building strong, therapeutic relationships with young people to reduce anxiety and create a sense of safety
* Collaborating with teachers and an in-house therapeutic team to deliver personalised support plans
* Plan, prepare and deliver tailored 1:1 education sessions, adapting learning to meet individual needs for post-16 students
* Supporting meaningful educational, vocational and independent living activities
* Helping young people build confidence, routine and essential life skills
* Work closely with therapists, teachers and SEN specialists to align learning with therapeutic goals
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in SEN, care, youth work or therapeutic education (HLTA experience is beneficial)
* Experience in teaching or coaching, either on a 1:1 or small group basis
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A compassionate, calm and proactive nature
* A desire to make a long-term impact on young people’s lives
