Job Description
The role of Project Engineer at G3 Systems involves supporting project managers and teams with project documentation, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts in the context of our new project.
Mobilisation:
* We are looking for a candidate to support the Mobilisation of the Project.
* The successful candidate will produce and maintain the project Trials, Verification and Validation Plan.
* Additionally, they will assist with supplier approval audits and onboarding in line with the mobilisation plan.
Service Delivery:
* As a Project Engineer, you will provide engineering expertise and advice to the project team.
* You will be responsible for producing and maintaining project plans and technical documentation.
* This includes providing an interface between Project, Engineering Disciplines and suppliers on technical issues, snags and non-conformances.
* The ideal candidate will also review engineering tasks and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
* Equipment installation, commissioning, testing and acceptance must be carried out in accordance with the Trials, Verification and Validation Plan.
* Participation in Design Review meetings is essential to ensure compliance with project technical requirements specification.
* Maintaining effective communication and relationships with suppliers is crucial to ensuring quality project deliverables comply with industry standards or project specific quality requirements.
* Investigation of product/service non-conforming products or services requires detailed reporting, evidence of findings and record-keeping.
* Interacting with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them in the field is also key.
* Collaboration with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and maintain project delivery is vital.
* Frequent communication and relationship-building with suppliers is necessary.
* A weekly and monthly reporting system must be provided and maintained.
* An ethos of mission zero safety culture throughout the programme delivery team and supply chain is essential.
International Travel:
The role will involve significant UK and overseas travel, primarily in Europe, to complete supplier inspections and audits, as well as equipment acceptance inspections.
Therefore, the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel both within the UK and overseas.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
* An engineering degree in a relevant discipline, preferably mechanical or electrical.
* Active certification in an engineering professional organisation is desirable.
* An understanding of engineering principles and procedures is required.
* At least five years' experience in an engineering environment is expected.
* Demonstrable experience in a Project Engineering role is essential.
* Knowledge of systems engineering is advantageous.
* Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards and best practices is necessary.
* Self-motivation and enthusiasm are essential qualities.
* The ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads is critical.
* Proficiency in MS Office and IT skills is required.
* Effective communication orally, in writing, report production and presentation skills are necessary.
* Security clearance or the ability to achieve it is required.
