Role Overview - Pastoral & Learning Support Assistants - Sefton - Merseyside:
As a Pastoral/Learning Support Mentor, you will be a key member of the school's pastoral team, working closely with students, staff, and families to provide targeted interventions that promote emotional well-being, engagement, and academic success. You will support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and help create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
What We're Looking For:
✅ Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND
✅ A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
✅ Strong communication skills to engage with students, teachers, and families
✅ Organisational skills to maintain accurate records of interventions
✅ A positive and empathetic approach, with the ability to work under pressure
✅ Willingness to contribute to assessment, planning, and intervention processes under the guidance of the Pastoral Manager
