Role Overview
The role is part of the PPP support to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) programme within Sellafield. The PPP support to DAM is an integrated project team with members from PPP and Sellafield’s asset management capability.
The DAM programme is a site wide delivery improvement programme supporting Sellafield’s improvement requirements, the programme aims to address a number of issues with Sellafield’s asset management arrangements with a targeted outcome of: “An integrated information line of sight from the asset through to the enterprise that integrates activities across the asset lifecycle, removes the burden of paper-based work processes from our teams and engages everyone in the use of modern digital technologies to inform decision making”
Responsibilities
4. Creation of Designs for applications and their related APIs
5. Integrating multiple applications together as and enterprise via an API middle tier capability
6. Technical assurance of developers and test teams.
7. Working as part of an agile sprint-based team.
8. Knowledge of security accredited solutions and designing applications to meet security requirements.
9. Use of both manual and automated software development tools
10. Management of Integration tests
11. Support to application testing
12. Code management/ branching strategies/release process via Azure DevOps
13. Delivery within agile methods, such as SCRUM, and a DevOps environment.
14. At least three years’ experience delivering solutions within a secure environment.
15. Experience in use of industry standard methods for documenting and controlling the devSecOps process.
16. Proven ability to collaborate with team members and a wide range of people.
17. Demonstrates good organisational skills giving the ability to deliver to timeframes and estimates.
18. Demonstrates good written, oral, comprehension and presentational skills.
Skills / ESSENTIAL
19. Ability to provide architecture guidance for applications and their APIs, including the production of high and low level designs.
20. Understand requirements, designs and develop options to successfully meet user requirements and provides architectural guidance to the devOps team.
21. Establish and assure development timescales/backlogs/priorities and risks to ensure successful delivery.
22. Validate and oversee Third Party Vendors and System suppliers.
23. Develop and maintain development policies and procedures.
24. Experience of DevOps, DevSecOps and Agile and traditional working.
25. Thorough understanding of appropriate development to support UK Gov security assurance of Systems.
Skills / DESIRABLE
26. Experience of the entire software development lifecycle
27. Management and leadership of development teams alongside a Development/project manager.
28. Creation of Systems design documentation and assurance of test Plans
