Salary and Positions
* £26,421 per annum (pro rata if part time)
* Post 1: 30 hours per week, Permanent
* Post 2: 37 hours per week, Permanent
* Post 3: 22 hours per week, Permanent
* Post 4: 37 hours per week, Fixed term or Secondment (Adoption leave cover) up to January 2025
* Post 5: 25 hours per week, Fixed term or Secondment (Maternity leave cover) up to September 2025
We're focused on making a meaningful difference to communities across Suffolk. As a Family Support Practitioner (FSP) in the Coastal North Family Support Team, you'll collaborate to build a bright future and make a positive impact.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an FSP, you will be expected to use the Suffolk Signs of Safety approach while holding a caseload of approximately 20 children and young people, facilitating supervised contact, liaising with other professionals, acting as Lead Professional within the Early Help Assessment process, and delivering bespoke work alongside our social care teams.
* Complete a variety of assessments with families, develop plans, chair meetings, and deliver direct work to both parents/carers and children & young people.
* Work within family homes, schools, in the community, and in our office based in Leiston.
* Travel to various locations around Suffolk.

The Team
Coastal North Family Support works with families within a geographical area that includes Woodbridge, Framingham, Leiston, and surrounding localities. We work closely with Ipswich and Lowestoft teams to deliver supervised contact. The team consists of Family Support Practitioners, Young Person Workers, Senior Family Support Practitioners, Practice Leads, and Practice Managers to deliver the Early Help Core offer to families.
We are a friendly, supportive team who work together to build on one another's strengths to promote the best outcomes for children & young people. Regular case supervision and wellbeing supervision is delivered to all practitioners. You will have access to a wide variety of learning and development opportunities to support you in your role.
