Brand & Creative Designer Content Editor - Halifax, Canada (Hybrid)
The Role

As our Brand and Creative Designer, you’ll be working in a collaborative creative environment that pushes the boundaries of our creativity and growth; all the while being immersed in sports and sports design.
Your Impact
1. Collaborate with the Covers brand & systems for a range of platforms.
2. Create designs used across a product, ranging from illustration, photography, motion, and other creative solutions.
3. Communicate design vision and creative intent via storyboards/mood boards.
4. Champion visual accessibility by ensuring colour contrast, fonts, and media are appropriate for the experience, audience, and device.
5. Work with Product designers to enhance the experience and guide visual exploration effectively.
6. Give and solicit feedback from other team members to continually raise our bar for quality.
7. Inspire through creative visions that drive our experiences to be more aesthetically pleasing for our users.
8. Partner closely with Product Design, Marketing, Social Media, and Content teams to provide context, support, and guidance as we work toward our objectives.
9. Collaborate with the Design team on developing and steering the long-term design strategy and direction.
What You'll Bring
1. You have a vision. You love thinking big and at the same time you know when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail.
2. Track record of developing outstanding creative work across multiple formats such as social media, paid advertising, video and photography content as well as illustration.
3. At least 3 years of experience working in the design or digital media space.
4. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and knowledge of Figma.
5. Exceptional sense of visual design, including typography, colour theory, design systems, and grid systems.
6. Ability to clearly communicate ideas and collaborate at all levels.
7. Experience with motion graphics, including animation and gifs an asset.
8. Knowledge of sports or sports betting is advantageous but not required.
The Interview Process
1. 1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)
2. 2nd: Interview with our team, Sr. Brand & Creative Designer and Sr. Product Design Manager (1 hour video via Zoom)
3. 3rd: Final Interview with Sr. Brand & Creative Designer and Product Designer (1 hour video via Zoom)
