Overview
We have an exciting new vacancy for a trainee General Practice Assistant to support our acute care team. This role combines administration with some clinical work, such as taking blood, body measurements, blood pressure, and ECGs. The role is designed to support GPs and other clinicians working in the acute care team in their day-to-day management of patients, specifically aimed at reducing the administrative burden and enabling them to make best use of consultation time. No experience is necessary as this is a training post where you will gain a BTEC Level 4 Award in General Practice Assistant. This is a fixed term post until the end of March 2026, whereupon if you have successfully completed your training, you could progress to a permanent role with our organization.
The hours will need to be worked Monday to Friday, with 7.5hrs dedicated to your learning on a Wednesday. This can be done from home. The rest of the day you will usually be split between administration support in the mornings and clinical work in the afternoons.
We will be interviewing for this role on the afternoon of October 29th, 2024.
