About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fabric Technician to join our dedicated Facilities Maintenance team at a well:established hospital, in Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the hospital by maintaining and repairing the fabric of the building. Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out general building fabric maintenance including minor repairs to walls, doors, floors, ceilings, and windows.
* Perform repairs and maintenance of non:electrical systems, including plumbing and minor mechanical works.
* Carry out reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
* Ensure that all areas are maintained to a high standard, contributing to the safety and comfort of hospital staff, patients, and visitors.
* Assist with planned maintenance and health and safety inspections in line with hospital standards.
* Work collaboratively with other maintenance teams to ensure all tasks are completed within set time frames.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in building fabric maintenance or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of building maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
* Previous experience in a healthcare or similar environment is an advantage.
* A proactive, can:do attitude with a focus on safety and quality.
* Good communication and problem:solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
