An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a proactive and dedicated Security Operations Manager to contribute to our esteemed Head Office in the heart of London. Salary - £47,000 per annum Hours - 50 hours per week Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday (Days) Location - London For this position, we are looking for an experienced Security Manager to join the team. You will be responsible for a security team on site, managing the day to day running and ensuring that the customers standards are always delivered. You will need to hold a Door Supervisor and CCTV license for this position. Your Time at Work - Will work closely with the security team to ensure operational requirements are delivered. - Will also be required to work closely with the Allied Universal IT operation and take the lead in London representing the client. - Will be required to attend meetings on behalf of Allied Universal, covering at all levels, communication and direction will be in line with requirements. - There may be a need to travel to other locations dependent of future needs. - Will work closely with the client, looking at future planning for any additional support that may be required taking into consideration, threat, risk, costs etc. and the authorising of additional staff process. - Will be required to carry out on-going Security Threat & Risk Assessments depending on the current threat levels and needs of the business, this will include off-site events. - Will be required to carry out Health & Safety reviews at current location, future buildings and off site events. - Will be expected to facilitate a smooth transition through any office relocation or building extension. - Will be required to performance manage team and correct under performance as necessary and carry out and disciplinary hearings in line with the Allied Universal HR policies - To ensure all documentation including Assignment Instructions and SOPs are kept up to date with current legislation and operational requirements/changes - To ensure all employees have a detailed Job Specification and bespoke training programme to suit their needs and operation requirements. - Will ensure regular contact and updates to the client at all times. - Will provided development training to all team members - Will be required to change and adapt the role as necessary dependent on the needs of the business - Will be required to carry out annual staff appraisals on all the team members and look at development programmes in line with the skills elements required. - Recruiting staff for any potential opportunities within the site remit - Planning and authorising annual leave in line with the Allied Universal annual leave policy - Overseeing the month by month rotas making sure that all cover is in place and respond to any shortfalls of staff through unforeseen absence Our Perfect Worker - Must have proven management experience 5 Years Plus - Demonstrate strong strategic vision - Must have strong previous experience of managing a large corporate team - Experience of supporting internal/external teams at a high level - Outstanding customer service skills - Ability to develop and motivate team - Effective decision making and judgment - Assertiveness with strong influencing skills - Strong interpersonal skills - building trust and support - Good communication skills - written and oral - Adherence to company policies & operating procedures - Will have the highest level of integrity and professionalism - Understanding of current Security legislation to BS7499 standards - Have proven experience of control room remote monitoring Key Information and Benefits 25 days annual leave, plus bank holiday Workplace pension scheme and life assurance benefit Financial support for SIA Licence & renewal Employee Discount Schemes Progression, training & development opportunities Free uniform provided G4S are a recognised Disability Confident Leader Employer, committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
