The opportunity:
Operating as an Intermediate Surveyor for Solomons Europe, you will act as a professional advisor, integrated into client teams and projects across the Northern Powerhouse region. Our Clients predominantly manage and deliver large EPCM contracts, often on long-term frameworks, operating specifically within the Process, Renewables, Nuclear, Infrastructure and Utilities sectors.
Quantity Surveying can sometimes be a bit of an art form, which requires curiosity, imagination, and a strong commitment to collaboration, in order to achieve beneficial project outcomes. These ‘soft skills’ work in harmony alongside technical, contractual and commercial expertise, in order to deliver to the highest standards of professional practice and secure beneficial outcomes for our clients.

What you’ll bring to the role:
* Be educated to degree level or equivalent in Quantity Surveying / Procurement / Project Management / Engineering.
* You will ideally be working towards the attainment of professional accreditation (for example, RICS, CIPS, APM, ICE or similar).
* Ideally you will have experience of the NEC3/4. However, in-house training is available to bring you fully up to speed quickly.
* Have a developing contractual awareness and experience of the effective control and administration of change provisions.
* Be commercially aware and developing skills in project commercial reporting (Commercial forecasting, CVR’s, Project status reports, Subcontract Management, Procurement, etc.)
* Ideally, have experience working in the process, energy, engineering and/or infrastructure sectors.
* Have a full UK driving license and access to a car to use for business travel (essential due to the locations of Client sites and Solomons Offices).
