As Senior Composite Technician, you will play a key role in leading our carbon infusion facility. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will manage daily workloads, support a team of laminators and trimmers. Ensure that high-quality infused carbon parts are produced on schedule. Your expertise will also contribute to training new starters and supporting the development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
•Hands-on laminating and resin infusion of production components.
•Oversee and manage the daily operations of the composite team to meet production deadlines.
•Lead and mentor laminators and trimmers, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency.
•Train and guide new team members to maintain high standards of workmanship.
•Support the Head of Operations and Head of Development in optimising manufacturing processes and equipment usage.
•Adapt to customer and business needs during peak periods, maintaining flexibility and a problem-solving mindset.
Required Experience:
•5–7 years of experience as a composite technician in motorsport, automotive, or aerospace industries.
•Strong expertise in infusion techniques.
•Proven ability to work with technical drawings, layup books, and be flexible customer requirements.
•Experience with various materials and composite manufacturing processes, including:
•Hand lay-up
•Trimming
•Bonding and assembly
•(Pattern and mould-making experience is a plus.)
•Demonstrated team leadership skills, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
