In this exciting role, you will manage a team to provide maintenance and performance of ICT infrastructure and networks through monitoring and alerting including the investigation and resolution of incidents, problems and requests for service.
We are seeking a proactive and driven person with the knack for problem-solving and trend analysis. We are looking for a Computer Operations Team leader to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the highest level of service availability with minimal impact to services. You will be responsible for leading a team to monitor and maintain the services to the highest level, provided to both Thames Valley and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police. You will manage alerts and incidents proactively, identifying patterns or trends that could indicate potential issues. Additionally, you will seek out automation opportunities to streamline operation tasks, using department tools.
The Key Requirements For This Role Are:
* Ability to provide strong leadership and direction to a team, fostering a collaborative culture.
* Knowledge of monitoring tools including Azure Monitor, Solarwinds, ServiceNow and SCOM.
* A proactive and analytical approach with a technical background of supporting both on premises & cloud services.
* An understanding of Microsoft Server technologies as well as knowledge of virtualisation.
* Knowledge of ITIL Incident, Request and Change management processes and best practices.
* Must have capability to travel to different locations across the Forces, partner sites and suppliers and undertake all assignments in a timely manner. For this reason, a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
