Description Job Description Are you seeking a great opportunity to work at the heart of the Government’s approach to the economy at a time of significant real world challenges and change? As part of Economic Delivery Governance Team, you support the management of the main governance structures to ensure the successful implementation of the National Strategy for Economic Transformation (NSET). You will work closely with colleagues across DG Economy, delivery partners, stakeholders and Ministers. This will also require maintaining a strong cross-office network with the policy teams delivering NSET. This role is key to the cross-portfolio governance of decisions on Scotland’s economy in a high profile environment. You will have the opportunity to strengthen governance and accountability structures across government and formalise the mechanisms that bind ministers, external stakeholders and senior officials from across government into key objectives. Responsibilities Supporting the CSC-IE to ensure success in cross-government leadership and coordination of cross cutting issues by providing performance reports, progress submissions and supporting information for quarterly meetings. Supporting the team in overseeing the secretariat function for the NSET Governance Models. This includes assisting with shaping and co-ordinating agendas, meeting papers from relevant policy areas and meeting minutes. Working closely with senior officials across the Scottish Government and NSET Delivery Board Members to progress actions that arise and facilitate and assist in fostering a collaborative relationship. Providing effective support to Ministerial activities, including high quality drafting/clearing of Ministerial briefings and advice to senior officials Ministers, including initial responses to Ministerial correspondence, Parliamentary Questions, FMQs and FOIs.
