Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Responsibilities: Support pupils with SEMH needs in 1:1 and small group settings. Promote emotional regulation, positive behaviour and self-esteem. Help deliver tailored learning activities alongside the class teacher. Implement personalised behaviour strategies and support plans. Create a calm, consistent, and safe learning environment. Monitor and record progress, reporting to teaching and pastoral staff. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced trauma, Be calm, patient, and empathetic under pressure. The ideal candidate will have Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (desirable but not essential). Be confident working with challenging behaviour using a trauma-informed approach. Be a strong communicator and a reliable team player. Be committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
