Homeless Outreach Worker
Birmingham based
37 hours per week - working flexible shifts required (evenings and weekends)
Temporary 2-3 months
Our client is a small homelessness charity looking for an experienced Homeless Outreach Worker who has experience engaging with people sleeping rough.
Engagement hours start at 6:30am.
The purpose of a Homeless Outreach Worker is to encourage and remind people about the charity's services. You will be able to offer initial support and signpost them to services to help them into more appropriate accommodation.
To be considered, you must possess emotional resilience and have experience working with people who are homeless or rough sleepers. Other required experience includes working with people who have complex needs such as alcohol or substance use, mental health issues, a history of trauma, and/or offending/antisocial behaviour.
There is an element of lone working, and there is a provision in place for this.
DBS required.
