Senior Project Manager Up to £65,000 per annum 40-hour week Established manufacturer. Respected partner to the Aviation industry Great company culture We are working with a long-standing client of ours based in Wythenshawe who are experts in the aviation industry who are looking for a Senior Project Manager who will be in charge of efficient management of delivery of projects. The Job Responsibility for the efficient management of delivery of projects in terms of timescale budgetary and technical performance. Ensure that Project staff are appropriately trained and developed in accordance with industry best practice, procedures/regulations and any relevant qualifications. Liaise and work together with the senior management team to ensure projects are seen through successfully. Hold project kick off meetings and ensure all relevant information including the work scope, timescale, budget and technical data are available and communicated to the team. Plan and schedule Projects / Customer Orders with the appropriate departmental heads and planning functions to ensure wherever possible the delivery date is met. Responsibility for raising the top-level job within Syteline (MRP system) Report to the relevant Manager / Sales Executives as appropriate, by way of project review meetings, on the progress of the project in view of schedule adherence, technical matters and budget. Liaise with the customer / weekly status reporting. Liaise with internal departments to ensure adequate staff, of the appropriate discipline is allocated to the project to ensure the agreed schedule and quality standards are achieved. Assist with the preparation of quotations. Identify contract variations at an early stage and were agreed with the respective Manager / Sales Executive, issue contract variation notices to the customer. Ensure where appropriate that Design reviews and project milestones are organised and carried out satisfactorily, and to ensure that subsequent design meets the clients requirements as defined in the contract and agreed specifications. About you Proficient user of MS-Project Experience in creation and maintenance of MS-Project plans Experience of working on delivery of ERP Programmes/Projects Previous PMO support experience (issues, risks and tracking) Ability to manage projects which combine new product design and manufacture along with external supply of parts and services throughout the entire project lifecycle. Be able to manage external suppliers at remote locations. Strong leadership of a mixed capability project team within a matrix organisation. Tenacity in tackling and overcoming technical issues, risks and negative effects of change. Familiarity with ISO/AS9100/9110 procedures and compliance (desirable but not essential). Working in the aviation/aerospace or other safety critical industry (desirable but not essential). Relevant technical qualification at degree level or experience with new product development.
