Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh / Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £431/day (Outside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining an audit trail of decisions, assumptions and outstanding questions
2. Assist in the identification, evaluation and tracking of business benefits
3. Collaborate with colleagues across all disciplines when necessary
4. Identify new or improved processes and opportunities
5. Support business leaders in both their tactical and strategic work to deliver solutions that work for the organisation and its focus on providing exceptional customer experience
6. Actively participate in the organisation’s Business Analysis practice, sharing best practice techniques and domain progress
7. Support junior staff with their development and upskilling
8. Work with our communication and organisational design professionals to assist in helping to reduce the impact of change
9. Be confident in engaging stakeholders and working with all levels of governance, including the Board and the Audit and Risk Committee
10. Collaborate with Business Analysts from across the business, when required, on overlapping deliveries
11. Work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams as an effective team player but also with autonomy and the ability to work independently when required
12. Support any secondary activities as requested by the Lead Business Analyst

9. Methods and tools: You know how to ensure that teams are using the right tools and methodologies and promote their use.
10. Requirements definition and management: You can facilitate the setting of business priorities for change initiatives of high complexity.
11. Stakeholder relationship management: You can influence stakeholders and manage relationships effectively.
12. Testing (business analysis): You can define test condition requirements.
13. User focus: You know how to collaborate with user researchers and can represent users internally.
Desirable Skills:
1. Knowledge and experience of using a wide range of BA tools and techniques
2. Experience in designing a target operating model
3. Experience in delivering corporate service review/reform
4. Experience of working with Senior Executives
