Position: Teacher of Design Technology (Food Technology)
Location: Leeds, LS16
Contract: Full-time, September 2024 - December 2024 (with potential for extension)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher specialising in Food Technology to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who can bring excitement and engagement to the classroom, fostering a love for learning in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Hold QTS or equivalent
2. Have an enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
3. Have the right to work in the UK
4. Possess experience teaching Design Technology, preferably with a focus on Food Technology
5. Be proficient in planning and preparing lessons, assessing pupil progress, and using formative and summative assessments
Key skills required:
6. Exceptional subject knowledge
7. Excellent organisational and time management skills
8. Effective teamwork and the ability to use initiative
9. Engaging and interactive teaching methods
10. Strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
11. Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons
12. Assess and track student progress
13. Attend parents evenings and staff meetings
14. Contribute to a supportive and collaborative teaching environment
