We are seeking to appoint two qualified Clinical or Forensic Psychologists to join an enthusiastic and cohesive team. Applications are also welcomed from Trainee Clinical or Forensic Psychologists who are close to qualifying (i.e., within 6 months).
The posts are based within the Mental Health Service at Rampton Hospital. They offer the opportunity to develop skills and competencies working with male service users with complex mental health difficulties who are detained in high secure care. Applicants should feel passionately about utilising a trauma-informed approach to make a positive difference to service user experience.
Successful applicants will work with a specialist multi-disciplinary team providing psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for a variety of presenting difficulties.
The role will be supported by senior staff experienced in providing a range of therapeutic modalities and psychological approaches for this population.
Successful applicants will contribute to the development and evaluation of specialist therapy programmes, tailored to the complex mental health and offending behaviour needs of this population.
Successful applicants may be required to provide clinical supervision and support to junior psychology and other staff members.
Successful applicants will be encouraged to conduct service evaluation and research, and promote services as a centre of excellence.
