Project Engineer – SSNA Build Support - Submarines

The SSNA Programme has an exciting opportunity for a R-R Project Engineer to work alongside BAES to get the Shipyard ready for building and testing the SSNA Reactor plant.

This is a unique role that only occurs as we approach the start of a First of Class submarine build programme.

Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement.
The role supports flexible working, with an expectation that the successful candidate can spend at least 2-days per week in the Shipyard.
What you will be doing:
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:
* Manage the integration of BAES dependencies into the R-R SSNA programme of work.
* Develop and progress SSNA build and test opportunities.
* Report the status of dependencies and BAES readiness for build and test, into the R-R SSNA programme.
* Maintain alignment of R-R on-site effort within the build support control account.

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
* Practical experience of project management, which includes an understanding of how dependencies are managed within a baselined plan.
* Familiar with Primavera P6 and SAP planning tools.
* Capable of compiling and presenting programme management information.
* Demonstrate a working knowledge of change and opportunity management processes.
* Prior experience of working with stakeholders both within R-R Submarines and external bodies is desirable.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
