The Outreach and Student Recruitment Officer will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive outreach and recruitment strategy aimed at engaging the community, stakeholders, and referral partners to attract prospective students to the College. The role involves attending events, maintaining partnerships, and working closely with internal teams to ensure the College meets its student recruitment targets. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement an effective Outreach and Recruitment Plan to achieve the College's student recruitment goals and maximise funding opportunities. Continuously monitor the outcomes of recruitment initiatives, gathering feedback to refine the strategy. Serve as an ambassador for the College, promoting its curriculum and recruitment priorities at every opportunity. Collaborate with the Marketing and Recruitment Manager to coordinate and represent the College at recruitment events, career fairs, and external meetings. Build and maintain a strong network of referral partners to increase student enrollment and enhance the College's profile. Ensure promotional materials are effectively used to attract students and meet partner needs. Present the College’s offerings to referral partners and potential students through presentations and informal discussions. Manage group bookings, ensuring an excellent experience for all participants in collaboration with the relevant Curriculum Manager. Capture media (photos and videos) from outreach events for use in College news articles and social media content. Maintain an up-to-date stakeholder list in line with GDPR guidelines. Attend events, meetings, and working groups as required, including evening and weekend commitments. Essential Requirements: Experience: Proven track record of forming and maintaining partnerships with community organisations and statutory bodies (e.g., Job Centre Plus, local authorities, housing associations, schools). Experience in identifying and overcoming barriers to education for adults. Knowledge of support services and referral mechanisms related to adult education, including employment support, mental health, and well-being services. Up-to-date knowledge of education pathways, funding, and eligibility for adult learners. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences both face-to-face and online. Competent in the use of ICT and Microsoft 365, including experience with Microsoft Teams. Ability to work independently, demonstrating creativity, initiative, and flexibility. Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to its success.
