We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-service-oriented Lodge Receptionist to join the Lodge team at a prestigious college in Oxford. In this vital role, you will provide a warm welcome to members of the college and visitors while ensuring the safety and security of our buildings.
Availability from 07:00 AM to 22:00, with shift patterns including one weekend per month.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate access control systems and monitor CCTV to maintain a secure environment.
* Respond to fire alarms, evacuations, and other emergencies.
* Issue keys and maintain accurate records.
* Answer telephone inquiries and manage incoming/outgoing mail.
* Promote sales of souvenirs and maintain cleanliness of the Lodge area.
* Undertake first aid training and remain qualified.
* Provide information and assistance to members, conference delegates, and the general public.
Requirements:
* Conversational level English and excellent communication skills.
* Experience greeting guests and providing outstanding customer service.
* Competent in basic office procedures and computer skills (Word, Excel).
* Calm under pressure and able to handle challenging situations.
* Team player with a flexible approach to work hours and duties.
* Previous hospitality experience is desirable.
