As the Business Development Sales Manager, you will be responsible for spearheading our sales growth and expanding our market presence. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our business development strategies and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities
· Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to achieve and exceed sales targets, with a focus on expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth.
· Utilize your expertise in creating detailed reports and utilizing computer savvy to analyse sales data, market trends, and customer preferences. Use this data-driven approach to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
· Lead and inspire the van-sales and distribution teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success.
· Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential clients. Leverage this information to develop targeted sales strategies.
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service to ensure their satisfaction.
· Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales performance and develop actionable insights for continuous improvement.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement effective promotional campaigns and initiatives that support business development efforts.
· Act as a brand ambassador to network, showcase our products, and generate leads.
Requirements
· Proven track record in identifying and winning new business.
· Excellent customer focus, communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers and the team.
· Proven track record of success in sales and business development ideally within the fresh food industry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
· Proficient in creating detailed reports and utilizing computer skills to analyse sales data and market trends.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate our value proposition to clients and stakeholders.
· Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
· A passion for the baked goods industry and a deep understanding of the market and customer preferences.
· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
· A full, clean driving licence.
