We are looking for an Interim Head of Governance and Risk to lead our corporate governance and risk management functions for 12 to 14 months starting in March 2024, while the current postholder is on maternity leave.
As a trusted advisor, you will support the Executive Team and Board and its committees on all issues relating to corporate governance, compliance and risk management.
The successful postholder will support Board recruitment and preparation for Regulatory Inspections during their tenure.

What we are looking for
You will have substantial experience as the in-house expert leading on governance, risk management and assurance, and data protection.
A thorough understanding of corporate governance in the housing sector is essential, along with experience in advising Boards and Executive Leaders on governance matters.
You will also bring expertise in risk management and assurance, including the development and oversight of risk management frameworks, supporting processes and procedures, and overseeing the delivery of an annual internal audit programme
You will have a high level of personal integrity and an ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with a can-do attitude.

Location
This role will be based in our Sevenoaks office. We offer a flexible approach to hybrid working with most full-time employees working in the office two days a week.
