Relevant experience in General Paediatrics and Neonatology is essential. The appointee will participate in a consultant on-call rota, typically 1 in 6.8 nights and weekends. The department operates on a 7-week rota system, with duties including stabilisation of critically ill children and neonates, including ventilation of premature infants.
The role involves teaching, guideline development, clinical governance, patient safety, and audit activities. Candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register, hold a CCT, or be within 6 months of obtaining it, or be an established Consultant.
