Head Vet at Ark Veterinary Clinic (Burgess Hill) – Up to £70,000 per annum DOE
An established close-knit practice with committed and loyal clients, Ark is located in Burgess Hill. With ample street parking and close to a picturesque town with shops, cafes and local amenities available. Ark is a short 5-minute walk from Burgess Hill train station with excellent transport links to London and Brighton and is located on the edge of South Downs National Park.
Ark provides a varied GP caseload with a client base who are invested in their pet's care, allowing the opportunity to flex both your medical and surgical skills. Equipment available includes digital radiography, a new ultrasound machine and tonopen. The successful candidate will also have no OOH work and work Saturdays on rota.
The role of the Head Vet includes:
* Leading and managing the clinical team, ensuring high standards of patient care and modern treatment methods
* Training and mentoring veterinary staff, enhancing the practice's reputation, and maintaining clinical governance through meetings, audits, and CPD.
* Collaborating with the Practice Director to optimise client service and business growth, budgeting and finances.
* Ensuring all care aligns with the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct and delivers appropriate medical and surgical care, attending scheduled clinical meetings.
* Experienced in undertaking emergency procedures such as exploratory laparotomies, pleural effusion drainage and bladder unblocking for male cats.
* Driving forward the practice in forward-thinking medical and clinical techniques.
* Ideally holding OV status
