As a Deputy Manager in a Children’s Residential Home, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and support. You will work closely with the Registered Manager and the wider team to ensure the safety, well-being, and development of children and young people in our care. Your key responsibilities will include: Supporting the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations of the home. Leading and supervising the care team, ensuring effective staff management, mentoring, and support. Overseeing the implementation of individual care plans and ensuring children receive person-centered care. Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures. Managing and developing a dedicated team, ensuring a positive and collaborative working environment. Monitoring and supporting staff performance and conducting regular supervisions. Building positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies. Managing rotas and budgets as required. What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you will need: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Residential Childcare. NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People (or equivalent). A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
