Main duties of the job

* Compassionate care giver: you are dedicated to providing top-notch service to every patient, from initially liaising with patients via phone/in person, supporting patients' onward care (i.e., via a referral to other services), helping support ongoing care ensuring records are maintained/coded and up to date, or helping to facilitate administration requests such as repeat medication, registration, etc.

Job responsibilities
* To act as the link between clinicians and clinical correspondence in the Practice; scanning, coding, and matching externally received documentation at point of source using SystmOne.
* To act as the front-line interface between patients and the Practice for the issue of prescriptions, adopting a professional and cordial manner at all times.
* To provide and maintain a high standard of patient communication via telephone, letter, and SMS, delivered with a customer focus to the practice population, adopting a professional and cordial manner at all times.
* To work alongside clinical and administrative colleagues to facilitate the provision of preventative healthcare to the practice population.
* To liaise with patients and care facilitate enquiries so as to deliver healthcare outcomes in line with Practice objectives and contractual responsibilities.
* To provide secretarial support and cover.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
Experience
* Experience working with members of the public.
* Experience with using IT.
* Stellar communication and interpersonal skills.
* Team player with a dash of independence.
* Experience working in Primary Care or a healthcare setting.
* Experience with using a patient clinical system i.e., SystemOne.
