Role: Y6 1:1 Behaviour Support - FULL TIME Role from December 2024 to July 2025
Location: PR1 Primary School
Work Times: 30 hours per week across 5 days (working time: 8.45am – 3.15pm)
Pay Rate: £12.90-£14 per hour
The Headteacher of a primary school in Penwortham is looking for a teaching assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis in Year 6. This position will cover 32.5 hours over five days. The rate of pay is competitive with similar roles, making this a great opportunity.
The child can sometimes become disengaged; therefore, a firm but fair approach is required. A keen interest in sport is beneficial, and having a sports qualification will be considered an asset. The Teaching Assistant should be able to de-escalate challenging behaviour and recognize triggers to prevent changes in behaviour.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Candidates must hold a relevant childcare qualification, health and social care qualification, or Teaching Assistant qualification (L2 minimum).
