A graduate or school-leaver sought to join a leading Accountancy firm in Norwich as a Trainee Tax Adviser. This is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world business skills whilepleting more formal training and studying towards a professional qualification.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in the drafting and preparation of personal tax returns and corporation taxputations;
Liaise with other professionals and third parties, such as HMRC, regarding client queries;
Support with andplete otherpliance services such as the preparation of P11ds;
Assist members of the team with various tax planning tasks;
Gain experience in the different aspects of tax, with a variety of clients and develop an understanding of the different services offered by the Firm;
Provide support to managers, portfolio holders, and the wider team;
Maintain and build professional working relationships with team members, managers, key stakeholders, and clients;Regularly update appropriate tax spreadsheets/databases;Undertake professional training and development (ATT CTA Tax Pathway);
Learn about and adhere to professional standards and ethical procedures;
The CandidateGraduates: Have/working towards at least a 2:2 degree or predicted degree. (Maths-based subject is advantageous, but not a requirement.)School Leavers: Have/working towards at least 3 A*-C A-Level grade pass results, or equivalent; Have at least 5 GCSE grades 9-4 or A*-C;Motivated and ambitious;
Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn;
Analytical and have the ability to learn within a new environment.
Apetent individual who can work on their own initiative and happy to liaise with clients
Have a good understanding and use of IT including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
