We are growing our team in Darlington and seeking dedicated and commited Care Assistants to join us and build positive relationships with our service users and their families.
We support adults, and children with long term, life limiting conditions, providing specialist, person centered care which is tailored to their individual complex care needs.
This rewarding role offers days & waking night shifts, on a full time or part time basis, providing essential care to our service users within their own homes.
Our service users live with their loving families in Darlington and both require a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who are committed to support their long term, ongoing care needs.
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in not only attending to the clinical care requirements of our service users but also assisting them in enjoying activities they love.
At home, you will participate in various activities tailored to the interests and needs of our service users, such as watching movies, listening to music, and engaging in playtime and sensory play with our younger clients.
Our care also extends outside the home, where you will assist with community outings, shopping trips, and park visits. Additionally, you may provide support in educational settings, delivering essential clinical care whilst promoting their development and learning.
Throughout the night, you will support evening or bedtime routines and remain alert and responsive, responding accordingly to their care needs.
This can include frequent observations, carrying out personal care, moving and handling, and carrying out clinical interventions.

Essential Requirements
1. 3 months previous care experience
2. Personal Care
3. Moving and Handling
4. Medication Administration
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
6. Valid UK Driving Licence (required for day shifts)
It would be advantageous if you have some experience of the following:
7. Epilepsy Care and Rescue Medication
8. Spinal Injury Care
9. Tracheostomy Care
10. Oral suctioning
11. Nebuliser Care
12. Enteral Feeding
13. Bowel Care
We have the following shifts available;
14. Full Time & Part Time
15. Days – 8am – 8pm / 8.30am – 10.30pm
16. Nights – 10pm – 9.30am
Our pay rates start from £13.00 per hour (approx. £156 per 12-hour shift)
