Sir John Nelthorpe School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive Humanities faculty from September 2025.
This is a part-time, permanent position ( FTE) with the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 if desired.
Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons to pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4, following the curriculum and promoting a love for history.
Have the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 History, should you wish, in a supportive and high-achieving environment.
Support the academic and personal development of pupils through effective planning, assessment, and feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities to share best practices and enhance the curriculum.
Participate in extracurricular activities that support the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a qualified History Teacher with a passion for the subject and a commitment to inspiring students.
Have experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4, with the ability to teach at KS5 an advantage but not essential.
Be an enthusiastic team player with a desire to contribute to the school’s ongoing success and development.
Have strong communication and organizational skills.
Be committed to providing the best possible educational experience for all students.
