An exciting opportunity has become available for a physiotherapist to work within one of our rotational clinical areas in a fixed term position.
The successful candidate will work as part of a passionate team providing a high standard of physiotherapy care across all sites to the local populations Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust serve and regionally within our specialist centres
The role could be within any of our rotational areas depending on the demand of the service, such as out-patients, hands/plastics, orthopaedics, medical and surgical wards, specialist rehabilitation units, paediatrics, MY therapy, critical care, stroke and neurology, respiratory services, spinal injuries, burns and care of the elderly., The main duties include performing physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and some complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
The post holder will be responsible for their own caseload for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working autonomously. Supervision takes the form of regular formal, training, clinical reasoning sessions and case discussions. Access to advice and support from senior physiotherapists is available.
We provide care and support to over a million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (Wakefield).
