They currently have vacancies for a proactive and experienced Platers to join the team. The Role Cut, shape and assemble steel plate components Building parts/assemblies to engineering drawings with precision Ensure quality is keep to a high standard through out and carry out visual inspections to ensure fabrication & build is correct to drawings. Manoeuvre fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears and flame cutters to cut, bend, grind and adjust materials Working from engineering drawings & specifications and correct revisions Place each product component in its appropriate spot as noted in the blueprints, Engineer, Technical drawings for proper alignment by using the correct hand tools Grinding, burning and other fabrication tasks Review blueprints, drawings and other specification papers before starting work on a fabrication process and during the steps to ensure accurate completion Employ furnaces or hand torches to heat up materials to make them more flexible for bending or manipulation into the correct specification Make templates/Jigs for common work tasks when conducting repetitive motions for the fabrication process to ensure a set standard of work quality The Person Good knowledge and experience in sheet metal fabrication Have understanding on Q.C inspection and process experience Experienced in using Drilling Machines / Rolling Machines / Guillotines. Experience in steel metal before Interpret work from drawings Experience in fabrication Competent in using hand and power tools Hours of work: Monday to Thursday - 7:30am-4pm. Friday 07:30am-12:30pm Overtime is offered on a weekly basis with enhanced rates of pay. These roles are being offered on a 'Temp to Perm' basis and so we are only looking to hear from candidates looking for long term work
